Jess Reina Rainville - Photographer

Jess Reina Rainville is an artist, musician and horticulturalist from Montreal. They studied photography and sculpture and received a BFA from NSCAD. They are currently living in a cabin on the Ottawa River in Pontiac, QC working on restoring some river bank ecology and designing ecological gardens.

“The punks.n.plants project ironically began with a smart phone and a contractor lamp from the hardware store. I wanted to document my plants and at the same time wanted to document all the amazing people in the punk scene around me. I started inviting people over for portraits and it went on from there, taking the lamp on tour and taking portraits of people in their homes with their plants.''
